REVIEWS WILL BE ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Hello there guys.

I've been writing reviews for new episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic since the finale of Season 1, that is I've been writing reviews since "The Best Night Ever" first aired. Ever since I've maintained a fairly positive attitude that has followed me up until today, and I have the feeling it's going to continue like this for a while.

However, I am going to stop doing episode reviews for a while, and there are a couple of reasons for this.

SEASON 4 EPISODE REVIEWS - ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everyone.

So, Season 4 is already here and it packs so much in its opener that I am left wondering if they fired their best shots already. If we are to believe Meghan McCarthy's words (and not going like Leonard Shelby in "Memento") it's possible that this is just the start of something bigger.

However, this post isn't about that.

My health and my work have put themselves in the way of me doing episode reviews as soon as the episode is released. I too realized that doing this is unfair towards the episode and those of you who read my articles. It takes a while for an episode to shimmer, settle down and grow on me, and my opinion can shift depending on how much time I dedicate to analyze and think on what I just saw. This means each review will come out at least one week after the episode is released, so I managed to gather information, get better pictures, and a much more solid opinion.

I hope to see you guys soon, with a lot of opinionated articles that I hope rustle a lot of jimmies and tickle your brains! Or perhaps I'll just write "meh" articles because maybe the episode was written by Merriwether Williams, we will see.

The traffic on EqD

Do you guys ever wondered how much traffic Equestria Daily gets, aside from the page view counter? That is one thing, but how about the drawings? How about the fanfics, and the comics, and the sculptures and such? Well, look at that.

HOLY...SHIT. I mean, wow. I have never done something that got so many fucking views. You can put all the views of all my drawings and together they wouldn't sum that many views. I am shocked, scared, and other terrified adjectives. I am also very happy X3

So I guess all I wanted to say is that Ponies are popular. This is amazing.

Mr. E-380 Interview

So yes, I got interviewed again! I spend eleven years in the furry fandom and nobody the fuck wants to know who I am. I spend a year and a half in the brony fandom and I get interviewed three times XD This is awesome.

Check it out after the break.

THE BLOG IS ALIVE!

It's just taking a while to keep it being so. Allow me to quickly explain as good as I can.

I am managing a tumblr account called "Ask Movie Slate". She is a lot of fun to work on, but takes almost all of my time in doing stuff.

Besides that, I also have a day job.

And games I want to finish.

And comissions I have to do.

And sleeping I must catch up with.

And a difficult family to deal with.

So, you know, real life stuff. I am working on content for the blog, trust me I am. It's just difficult to sit on the writing board when I am bombarded from so many other places. Trust me my beloved followers. The updates are coming.

Just hang in there.

100.000 Thank you's guys!

Picture the following as I build up this silly little comic I made to thank you all guys.

> I stay in FurAffinity for six years.
> I don't move to any other website thinking I can work my way over there.
> After six years I discover My Little Pony.
> I love it and start posting stuff in this Blog so I don't have to bother my FA followers.
> Sudden burst of visits and people checking out what I have to say and share.
> Screw FurAffinity, I love this place.

Thanks a million for checking my reviews, my drawings, and for giving me back hopes that one can have fun doing something and have people noticing him/her for it. I should've done this a long time ago, and now I am making up for it ^_^ Enjoy this little comic thanking you all!!!

Pastel Pony Podcast Interview!

Ah, lovely cake making in the process.
For those of you who don't know, I did wrote a sequel to Cupcakes. It's called "Le Petit Four" and it can be found in the link below.

Rarity Fans, you will hate me for this.

And the sequel here.

Oh God, what?

And a live read here.

. . . I am oficially freaking out.

Now, why do I say all this? Well, because, like everything in this fandom, one thing lead to another and now I am friends with the guy who did that live read, Voz de Sueños, who makes an awesome Podcast on YouTube which you can find down here.

With his lovely, talented voice.

All these events lead to one inevitable conclusion. I ended up appearing in his latest podcast, with super possitive results. You see? This is something I don't see happening with anything else but this fandom. We are so tightly tied together it's lovely, yet we remain really characteristic individuals. I had a lot of fun doing this interview, and I am very proud of it.

Thank you Voz de Sueños for this chance. And now, I leave you with the interview below.

Oh hey look, it works now!

Merry Christmas Guys.

I thought I should make a post regarding Christmas, don't you guys think?

I didn't do it last year, but I made so many posts I guess it has inevitable. Besides, I really needed to make Christmas picture with ponies in it, and I wanted to test my new scanner's abilities. Apparently...It's really good <3 I am more than pleased.

I hope all of you starts 2012 well, I hope you are stored for the apocalypse coming, I wish you the best of the best, happiness, good health, enough wealth to hold up, and lots of friendship. Because, if you haven't heard the word, friendship is magic.

I'd rather take a cup of Indigo Mane Unicorn. Somewhere in the World, a PonyChan reviewer just died because of that joke.

Ponies Around the World - SCIENCE!

So, I should've posted this two weeks ago or so, more or less when this took place, but my timing is not as good as it used to be. Unless we talk about comedy, in which case I think I'm still pretty sharp. But I digress. I went with my good scottish pal Arran to the Sciences Park here in Granada. So, before going there, I decided to throw my Twilight Sparkle toy in my pocket. "Why?" you may be wondering. Well, I thought Twilight could enjoy some science from time to time and, like the 5 year old kid that I am, I took her with me so she could have some fun in the park. In the end, the visit was a bit dry, but I managed to sneak two photos with her. The exposition wasn't too sciency actually (it was about the T-Rex theories and it felt more like a ride in one of Universal Studio's theme parks than anything close to actual science). But there in the park I managed to take these.

Yes, she's standing on the horse. Horseception?
In the park there is this big Chess game, that looks like crap right now. The kids might destroy it or take away pieces or something. They don't respect a thing. But Arran and I had a lot of fun with it. I even managed to Check-Mate him! I was the black ones (I always play the black because, like Wesley Snipes says, "Always bet on the black"). If you look carefully, my Queen and my Bishop are check-mating his King. It didn't even took me 20 moves. And it was aaaaaaaaaall intentional! (no it wasn't)

You can say *shades* She's looking up to him.
And then this one. There is this awesome statue of (I almost type Spielberg here) Einstein on the entrance of the park, and I just couldn't resist. Twilight will geek the hell out if she ever had the chance to go back in time and meet him. She will even create a fan club and wear an Einstein mask. Will his pony name be "Neighstein"? I don't know. Goddamnit, pony puns are too easy.

Cupcake time! (with Rainbow Dash)

So yeah, I had a few free hours yesterday night and I decided to try and do me some cupcakes. I also used some of my mom's and sister's patience to do these, so I think I should thank them as well. They were making a plumcake, so I thought "If the kitchen is going to end up in a mess, why not using that to make me some cupcakes?"

Edinburgh and Aberdeen trips

I think the title sounds like some sort of drug after-effects. I think it would, but since there's no Glasgow on it I think you are pretty much safe for now. Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st were quite intense, busy and fun days where a lot of things were done and a lot of pictures were taken. So instead of me boring the hell out of you with my writing I will just show it. I am not keen on this saying but, as they say, an image is worth a thousand words.

Discovering the Discovery.

I've been using a sentence lately, mostly to define really awesome days with a self-contained feel of excitement that trascends the myriad of layers contained in the fantastic cheer that is having a really good day. And that sentence is: "Well...that was cool."

Today I got to use it twice XD So I can say "Well...that was very cool."

Pony toys and Birthday!

August the 13th was a pretty crazy day. To say I did a lot more things in that one day than during the whole month of July is an understatement. Thankfully, I remembered my cammera this time, so I made a photo record (or almost one) of the entire day. It was cool, it was nice, the weather was kind with us and gave us a mild temperature without wind or cold or humidity, and I bought a shit-load of stuff.

So, let's get started with the report.

The Escher Exposition (Granada)

Well, it was...interesting. It wasn't bad by all means, but I can't hide my dissapointment. I expected a bit more interactivity and more sculptures. Was it so difficult to set up a recreation of the Penrose Steps so we could see that awesome effect from a certain angle? I guess only Christopher Nolan can afford that kind of quality. In the meantime, have some pictures I took on the exposition. They are in grey scale because I think it fits Escher.

Sonic Rainboom Sighting!

Well, I bet this wasn't caused by Rainbow Dash breaking the sound barrier after crossing through a bunch of storm clouds. But I have never seen in my life a double rainbow. I bet this must be quite often, especially in places where it's always raining, but seeing one for the first time is really cool. It's about 20% cooler.

You can see the exterior rainbow is really fadded.

This one barely shows the exterior rainbow, but goddamnit! The interior one looks great!

This is the best shot I got of both rainbows. It's quite a silly sight, isn't it?

So here you have it. I felt like doing a Blog Post about this, I mean come on. I've been a lot into My Little Pony lately, and out of the blue a lightning storm brings a double rainbow right in front of my house!? I had to post this guys, it's compulsory ^_^;

LION AWARDS 2010 Winners.

So after ten years of keeping these movie awards buried under the overwhelming array of other Word documents and unfinished projects I finally decided to showcase them online for everybody to see and discuss. The only problem however was the lack of a solid and resourceful voting procedure. With this I mean I now understand why the Oscars have so many problems giving the awards to the people that objectively deserve them: Because the objective perspective has been long dead for decades. We choose whatever is best based on what we think is best, not based on what we think should get it. That’s why this will be the first and last time these awards will hit the net. It was a fun experiment, gather people, seeing their opinions and getting their votes. I managed to get the votes of 9 people! That’s a big accomplishment for me guys. Next year I will be more professional and just pick the Top 5 and the Bottom 5 of the 2011 movies, which is something I think can still do for 2010, despite it been dead for more than a quarter of the year. So with this, let’s take a look at the winners.

15 March 2011

Lion Awards 2010 Nominees.

Hello everyone. Here I present you the nominees to the 2010 Lion Awards for Motion Pictures. Yes, we have awards for videogames, and we have awards for movies, and before you ask, nope, we don’t have awards for TV shows. I live in Spain, and Europe is likely to get butt-raped with the release dates of series of there, and my PC is too stubborn to move websites that allow me to watch the chapters in their American release (not to speak of certain law I won’t talk about).

So here I leave the list of nominees for you guys to see and (if you want) VOTE! That’s right! We want your votes! You can leave a comment here with your picks for best in each category. You don’t need to be a movie genius, this is all about having fun! ^_^ Thank you!

The Academy Awards 2011

Hello everybody. Before getting into the review, let’s get one thing out of the way first, and that’s how I feel respect the ceremony, which is exactly how I feel about the Oscars as a whole. It also serves if you want to know what I think of it without having to read through all of it. You ready? Then play the video and facepalm a-hoy.

So yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Blacksad book signing

You know when you are so sad you can feel the sadness hurting you? It is the same for happiness :-3 Because yesterday I was so damn happy that I felt my heart filling my chest and breaking my ribs, and it was an awesome feel so happy I was. Having one of my biggest heroes of all time drawing, creating and then talking to him was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Here be the photo report from the most awesome event of the year, so far.

Juanjo Guarnido Art Exposition: Opening day

For you who don't know Juanjo Guarnido's art *SLAPS*. You deserve that. He is the creator of "Blacksad", probably the most beautiful and heart squeezingly compelling series of comic books ever made, and that's saying something for a series of only four books (with only three of them released). If you never check them out, look for them on amazon or browse them online, it's really worth it.
